All subs received in January at submissions@shootsandvines.com are being reviewed over the next week. All subs are being reviewed for print only. As of now, I am not taking any more subs through email, except for artists and photographers.
My goal by moving into print is to be able to pay writers and artists and photographers for their work. I can’t do that publishing online unless I ask for donations and I really don’t like that idea at all. Check out the underground print site for calls for submissions (left side bar). These include where to send, deadlines, and the $$$$$ amount offered per accepted piece.

I’ve been diligently setting up shop so I can move everything to print. Hub is remodeling one of the rooms to be used as an office/print room.

Some of the print issues were delayed while we remodeled but everything is printed and ready to mail in the morning. You should have received an email from me this morning if you haven’t received your contributor copy of Print 4.

Remember these?
Me, neither. I wasn’t even a thought back then.
But I’m interested in making them. Many people now consider today’s paperbacks the evolved pulp.
I like the old pulp more.
I’m getting with tattoo artists and making a call for subs to artists to design the front covers of S&V’s new flash and short story zine: ROOTS
These will be released four times in 2010, and depending upon the response, I might make more.
Each artist will have an interview included in the back of the zine. I will be looking for three to four short stories/flash to include in the zines.
